Mary Claire Vaughan

Hello! My name is Mary Claire Vaughan. Ever since I was very little, I have been genuinely interested in imagining an array of things and finding ways to bring them to life through various creative avenues. I find immense joy in sharing stories that are personally significant and meaningful to me, while also helping others discover their own voice to express and share their unique narratives. When I was just ten years old, I had the incredible opportunity to visit a fascinating Walt Disney museum, where I was able to experiment with a stop motion camera for the very first time. My parents were kind enough to allow me to stay for hours, providing me with the time and space needed to create my very first stop motion film. That year, during the Christmas holiday, I received my very own stop motion equipment, and from that moment on, my dream and passion for storytelling and filmmaking only continued to flourish and grow.

Career

Here, you will find a carefully curated selection of the diverse projects I have actively worked on over the past four years. I am currently a senior at the University of Alabama, where I am on track to graduate in the upcoming spring of 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. During my time in school, I have focused on Creative Media and have also pursued a minor in Global and Cultural Perspectives to broaden my understanding of different viewpoints and various cultures. Throughout my studies, I also worked at The Center for Public Television for an impressive four years. It is with my time at CPT that I was able to gain a significant amount of valuable professional experience.
